Ghana music is growing or has grown from strength to strength with releases all the time. Also the numbers of artists keep increasing. The new artistes are doing a great job with singles and albums. This list contains 5 artistes, though there have been more releases, am tempted to say those other once are not good enough so far as am concerned.
GhanaCelebrities.com is 99.9% sure that the artists below are most likely to be nominated in the category ‘Discovery of the Year’ for the next Ghana Music Awards! Who is your favourite?
Let’s get talking! Where would your vote go? Plus whom amongst them do you think has a music future? It is …
Iwan: The lyrical Gunshot made himself known to the Ghanaian public that indeed Dancehall is an accepted music genre in Ghana. For people who don’t know, Iwan is also a sound engineer and recorded most of the songs on his maiden album ‘My Time’.
He is the newest Bullhaus entertainer.
Favourite tracks on the album: ‘Still Love Me’, ‘Thanks & Praise’, ‘Run Away’ & ‘That Day’

Morris D’Voice: The known sound engineer released his maiden album ‘Home & Away’ which has a blend of songs. The 19 track album has great songs, great stuff to be honest. It has songs from three different music genres; RnB, Hip Hop and High Life. If you are musically inclined, you won’t regret for purchasing this album.
Favourite tracks on the album: All the songs (wink wink). It is difficult to pick any song from this album, because all the songs are too good. If Morris can get lots of performances, then I predict that the ‘Album of the Year’ is for his taking. Great songs on the great album.

Eazzy: The first lady of the youngest/award winning record label in Ghana, Lynx Entertainment also released her maiden album ‘Twinkle’ and the response she received was positive and encouraging.
She is backed by guys (Lynx Entertainment) who know what beat and good punch lines means in music.
Favourite tracks on the album: ‘Wengeze’, ‘Get Into My Pants’ & ‘Bo Wonsem Ma Me’.
****************************************
Nana Boroo: Nothing was known about Nana Boroo until the controversy with SK Blinks sets in, which I believe has helped him as an artist. A lot of people believe SK contributed about 70% to the fame ‘Aha Ye De’ received.
Nana Boroo has a good song and he is the only artist on this list to have had enough performances from the time the song was released. Home boy’s performances on the stage are awful.
****************************************
D-Black: The Ghana Boy is doing strictly Hip Hop in Ghana. He has couple of songs with Kwaku T. Though he is doing the genre of music that Ghanaians have not fully accepted in Ghana (A Ghanaian doing Hip Hop), home boy is doing pretty well.
Favourite tracks on the album: ‘Get On Da Dance Floor’, ‘Somebody’ & ‘Asabone’.
Who is my favourite? Do what I say matter? Let’s get talking
I understand some artists will release later but I think the dust has been settled for this category. The next discovery of the Ghana Music Awards will come out from this list.
