Who Is Jacob Chansley Wife And Family: Shirtless Arizona QAnon Shaman Receives 4 Years Jail Sentence

Publish date: 2024-07-15

Jacob Chansley, dubbed the “QAnon Shaman,” was sentenced to 41 months in jail, 36 months of supervised release, and a reparation payment of $100.

The sentence is ten months less than the prosecution had requested. Chansley has already served roughly 11 months since his arrest in January.

Jacob Chansley pleaded guilty to impeding an official procedure in September after taking part in the siege of Congress. Trump supporters attempted to overthrow President Joe Biden’s election victory.

Prosecutors have asked District Judge Royce Lamberth to sentence Chansley to 51 months in prison before today’s hearing.

Chansey’s lawyers asked for a time-served punishment for the time he has been in detention since his arrest in January. During his time in prison, Chansley was diagnosed with transitory schizophrenia, bipolar illness, depression, and anxiety.

Chansley expressed disappointment that he had not gotten a pardon from former President Donald Trump before he left office as he pled guilty.
